    Anyone get a pic of........

The JAE700 or the AI M14/M1A stocks?

I haven't been able to locate photos of either. I new I should have talked the wife into hitting Vegas this weekend.

    I didn't see the JAE-700.

Here are pictures of some M14 stocks. First two pictures are the VLTOR stock and the last two are the JAE stock.

Honestly, I can't recall. I didn't really check out the JAE booth.

The JAE 700 stock looks interesting but the proprietary mags scare me off. I saw a post on snipers hide where the 10 rd would run about 130 bucks. ouch I thought the pos HS drop mags were expensive. Hopefully they are better built than the thinwalled flexible HS mags and more like the AI mags.

Looks very good. If the mags work well it should be a winner. I may have to look into one for a later build.

Too bad it can only be used on a pre ban in this crappy place.

Untrue. It can't even be used on a preban M1A unless it was registered as an AW.

Most people I know with an M1A chose to replace the flash hider with a brake to avoid having to register it.

Unregistered means no PG with DM now. No matter when it was made.

Cool. That would make a nice rifle. Would be easy to top load even with the scope mount.

Or fixture a BB. I don't really understand accurizing the M14, though. Why not just build an AR-10 or clone? It's an inherently more accurate design, as much as that annoys me. I like the look of the M14.

I like the JAE 700 stock. Anyone know the weight?

Why accurize an M14? Its cooler looking accurized then an AR10 (I will have an ar10 though )

I was talking about registered rifles. Most people consider a preban one that is able to have all the AW features.

All the people I know with M1As choose to keep thier flashhiders and registered them. Gives you more freedom (a misnomer in this state) to add or remove the features they want.

                              I'll definitely agree with that.
