Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Yes, its a Swann DVR4-Alert single hard drive unit with a built in fan. Ive had 4 camera feeds going into it for almost a year now with no problems.

Sorry for tagging on but I had some ammo stolen too -- approx 2,000 rounds. Please check your garages to make sure you are not in posession of this stolen ammo. It may have been resold through unknowning local gun shops. If the ammo has pointy tips and a brass case, it may very well be mine. Check the rim... I marked every case with my birth date (May 1956, 5/56). At current prices 2,000 rounds are valued at $500 which is felony theft! But I will not press charges and will pay a "finders fee" of $2.95/box. Let me help you ease your conscience. Come clean -- it's not too late to salvage what's left of your life.

This happened in mid town sacramento. They didn't get my address, as I don't have any paperwork with my new address. They also didn't take any paperwork.

I called all of the local gun shops and got them on the look out. I'm going to send a follow up to the ranges in the area tomorrow.

If you guys can keep an eye out I'd appreciate it. It's in black 50cal ammo cans. I spray painted them myself. I have a list of every type that was stole. Look out for PCA spectrum, Adcomm, Federal. Magtech 38 special, and 357 magnum. Some of it is sealed in food saver bags. Some are in kind of a home made battle pack.

These *******s have hit just about every car in the area.

Good news is that the gun stores in the area don't take used ammo. I'll be checking everywhere I can think of.

Lesson learned. Don't keep **** in your car. I'm getting a paging alarm put on Thursday. Also split up your ammo stockpiles. Luckily I'm not totally dry.

Once again, sorry to hear you lost the ammo. Midtown is infamous for bums breaking into cars. The usually try to fence anything they can find at the local pawnshops. My advice to you if you live in "midtown" would be to find the bum that lives/squats the closest to you, tell him you will give him $100 to see about getting your ammo back. I would bet that he finds it within a few days! Obviously dont give him your address, but give him your cell number. be prepared to give out that $100 no questions asked. Ive had luck doing this with other stuff from friends whove had stuff stolen in midtown.

I'll go do that right now. I know there are some bums that sleep near there. Anyways, I don't think a bum took them because those cans are pretty heavy. Hard to load all of them into a shopping cart.

Spoke to two bums in the area. One was totally drunk but I think he got what I was saying. He said thank you at the end. I left a paper with my phone and a description of the black ammo cans. The other guy seemed like a decent guy. He said he'd let me know if he heard anything.

Feel your pain. Someone broke into my car once and took my range bag which had most of my mags. Cost me $150 for the mags alone.

They were locked in the trunk. All doors locked. They smashed the window. I had locked the interior trunk release, and back seats so that they can't fold down. Apparently if you just pull the trunk release hard enough it breaks the lock and you can get into the trunk. That's what they did.

Lesson learned. Please everyone keep your eyes out for black surplus 50 cal ammo cans. They're freshly painted.

Thanks for the ammo. It shoots real nice.

Actually, you might find it in a building at 10th and L Streets. I've heard these guys are trying to confiscate ammo.

Smash and grab theft is becoming a real problem, especially with increasing unemployment in the unskilled labor market. It happens a lot where I live and there is only one thing you can do to prevent it. Leave NOTHING in your car.

I frequently work late night hours in my home office and am surprised at how many people cruise the neighborhood between midnight and 0400. Meth addicts also do their best shopping this time of day.

A good anti theft method for the trunk release is to unhook it from the lock in the trunk. And just use the keylock on the outside to open the trunk. I've got an Acura Integra and it's one of their favorite cars to steal. I've got a hatchback, but it makes it a lot harder to get into the trunk climbing through the car to steal the stuff, and add time. So i've had to come up with some clever things to give them trouble. Although that won't stop them when they decide to steal it with an old repo or tow truck.

I'm definitely going to disconnect the trunk release. I'm also having an alarm put in this weekend. Everyone else in the area has had their car broken into. This was my second time. First time, I didn't have anything in the car.

Everyone should buy one of the devices that go around the break pedal and locks it. Both times I had it on, and my car was still there. The first time they had a honda key and unlocked the car. Its common with the 96 accords that keys will work in all of them. They didn't get the car.

I had a feeling it was a Honda...>honda technician over here. take off the door panels and disconnect the door lock switches and install hidden switches in the center console and that will also help. That the easy way to open the door without smashing it or using a shave down key. Every Honda I've owned was broken into or stolen at one time or another.

I'm pretty close to your area in land park actually and I'll be on the lookout. I've been searching CL for ya in stockton, gold, sac and sf.
