The bad news is, she's spoken for
The good news is, she's genuinely interested in picking up defensive shooting and we may make her one of us yet.

Her trigger finger and muzzle discipline was far better than many shooters that I have met... and better than almost all of the many folks who came to visit our booth.

Really cool photos and writeup, esp. the Ktecs... Thanks for sharing!
"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. Only a small 'inside' group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes."

Nice pics and reviews. That Ghost ring sight definitely perks my interest.

BOO thumbs down on the m32 grenade launcher. Hate that heavy POS. Takes forever to reload the rounds and you shoulda seen how many of us Marines scratched our heads trying to figure out how that damn sight worked.

To be perfectly honest I have never fired a GL before. However, given a choice I would probably opt for the old HK M69 (which was at the show too... wierd gun, it's like a big fat tube with a handle). It's small, easy to manuever, and light. I definitely would NOT carry the M14 that TROY had out there though. Imagine an M14 with TROY MCS, 40mm GL, 100rnd 308 MAG, ACOG, full rail... the damn thing weighed at least 19lbs with an EMPTY magazine!

LOL. I love these contests on how much crap you can fit before the rifle weighs more than you're step mom.

                      As for the bayonet,
well, they'res no bayonet lug but they'res always duct tape.

Yes and it is totally badass.
I was like a little kid going OMFG....
there is no way any BG can hide in the dark. it lights him up like a big white glowing Casper in the dark.

the reticle also changes color along with what the background is. the creepy part is when one of their special forces reps said that in iraq the sniper's spotter uses a second thermal to see if the target is dead...

dead guys don't glow anymore, you see....

something nifty about the RFB i forgot to mention. not only is the rifle ambidexdtrous, the magaziens are drop free - in otherwords, no rocking in of the magazine as in FAL and AK and mini14... straight push, and when you hit the lever the mag drops out on its own. not even the aug can do this.

unfortunately, the price is likely about $1700 =( For that much I can get two newly rebuilt FALs, slings, and a battle set of magazines for each.

The reason that is, is because you are working off of thermal energy, glow = body heat. The "uses a second thermal to see if the target is dead" doesnt work till the body temp has dropped of course. Its no different than using a Tow missle thermal night-sighting system to survey for bad guys. Once they are no longer "viable" they dont glow!
