Enlighten me here please...
Hi,
So this weekend during a hunting trip with the old man and some of his buddies there was a good conversation that got started Saturday night during camp. They talked about the previous year hunt stories and brought up a friend who shot a 300lb+ bear using his 22-250. 90% of us were in complete state of BS attitude. But after having a key witness who was with the guy swore his sick daughter, wife and horse that it was true. Some of the folks that know the guy who shot the bear also know his rifle and say the reason is that his rifle has counter clock wise rifling which creates a stronger trauma upon impact.
So I guess my questions are:
Does a counter clock wise rifling rifle make a bullet act different upon impact? Or change the ballistics data of a bullet?
Why does counter clock wise rifling even exist?
If my take my regular clockwise rifle below the equator would that be consider a counter type of rifling. Take "the why those the toilet flush counter clock wise in Australia law of science"
