Orange Wal*Mart has/had 5.56 in ammo cans

I picked up 420 rounds of Federal 5.56 XM885 in the 30cal can at the Orange store this morning for $164. I never thought I would see this in California. They had 4 left after I bought mine.

Shoulda bought them all. I found my Walmart had these one day and picked one up. I thought is was just regular FMJ ammo, or at least XM193. I felt like I won the lottery when I opened that can up and saw the green tips. I went back to buy more but they were all gone. I haven't seen them since.

I wanna stock up on that ammo just in case armored zombies come around.

Where do they keep the cans, in the glass case with the other ammo or behind the counter??

Serious!! WTH? That ammo is going for roughly $200 now online. I paid $160 shipped from cabelas about a year ago. Shoulda bought it all.

I thought about it. The more I think about it I should have bought 2. As to where they kept it I have no idea. I got it when they were stocking last night.

Bought a can in the Oceanside walmart before heading to pismo. Ran by the Walmart in Santa Maria which is close to pismo and grabbed the can they hadthere. They have them in the glass case. Btw, Santa Maria Wally world has the largest ammo case of any Walmart I've seen.

Interesting, I was at Walmart couple of weeks ago, didn't see the ammo cans, but I couldn't believe that they now charge almost 11 bucks for a box of 20 American Eagle .223. Not too long ago this stuff was less than $7.

You were looking at th e AE 50gr JHP, they are $11. The AE 55gr fmj is still $7. The boxes look exacly alike, that is what throws u off.
