I don't have a 226, but the ones I have seen at the local shops are all over $950+ tax and DROS. If I had the cash and saw one for that price, with or without night sights, I would jump on it.

Naw. Get an all stainless steel SIG 226R 9mm German-made frame. Comes with the "factory installed reduced reach trigger" too. yzernie's ad thread says he's out of stock but maybe you can order it still. Just $875 (excluding DROS and sales tax). The all steel frame and slide means less felt recoil compared to a nitron-finish aluminum frame and steel slide.
Or if you can find one used and in excellent condition, get a SIG 226R 9mm Platinum Elite. Still comes with a nitron-finish alum frame but sexy.x
