    anyone experienced in wood work?

    Hi guys,

I want to upgrade the stock and forend for my newly acquired saiga 7.62x39 cuz the plastic is crap and i prefer wood. On the saiga-12 website there is a guy that makes custom stocks for the unconverted saiga. Im thinking to go with this guy but i need some help. I dont know jack when it comes to what wood is good or not. Here is the link for his page and its in PDF.

If you scroll down to the 14th page you will see the different wood selection. I want something that was used on the ak?

Probably the same as the SKS.
      Beech, elm or walnut.
