    AR scope mount or riser

Does it really necessary? What's the benefits of it? I saw a lot of setup with the scope mount or riser. Why?

    Thnx

Do you see how much lower the top of the stock is in relation to the top of the receiver? On an AR the gap is much smaller, so you need something to have the sights/optic sit higher.

To get the scope out far enough for proper eye relief and at the same time keep is as low as possible. This is my 3 gun setup running low rings and a Yankee Hill Machine extension
