    Gun as a Gift

I have a good friend and I want to get him a 1911 at some point in the future. I don't want to do a gift card but actually present him with it (yeah I know, but he's really come thru for me in the past).

Would I have to buy it first and then do a ppt? Seems kinds silly to pay the dros twice.

I would ask this on the FFL board there are some informed dealers on there who could figure out a way to do this. I know that many FFLs would scream "straw buyer" and run out of the room but many others would be able to help.

You don't have your location listed so I don't know which FFL you could talk to in your town/city but if you're in Kern County, Wes at 10% and Rafael at Get-A-Gun would be happy to help you.

Yes. Can't transfer without the FFL, unless it's intrafamily.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
