If I shipped my barrel in one box and the rest of the firearm in another is it legal if I send it to a non FFL? Last year I shipped my over/under in 3 pieces in the same box to a non ffl but I'm sure that was probably not kosher.

Go to the FFL forum, but the basics are:
The receiver or serialized part is considered the firearm. You can ship everything except the serialized receiver. Even though it is a stripped receiver, the feds still classify it as the firearms and must be transfered in the legal way.A life is not important, except for the impact it has on other lives- Jackie RobinsonComment
