OK so I have been reading California Penal Code Sections 12552, 12070, 12072, 12078. All that reading makes me go bonkers!
My son who is 17, is going to travel from SOCAL to NORCAL and go to a competition on private property with other youths his age. This event will be sponsored and monitored by Adults who are legal to posses weapons and ammo. The shooting area is on a very large private land spread and is legal for the event as well.
He has asked me if he could take my '1911' .45 and my WWII .303 British Enfield. I have a locking case for the 1911 and a trigger lock for the Enfield. I also have a separate locking ammo box.
I have also drafted a written permission slip citing those codes.
Does anyone see any other problems that I need to worry about??
Michael
