I have emailed the link to the stop S B 249 perition to all of my gun buddies and other republican friends- then I followed up with a phone call to them

I was surprised that lass than 10,000 people have signed the online perition

Any ideas how to get more folks to sign it

Ask them why.

Do they have a job, and pay taxes?

Do they have driver licenses?

Do they have credit cards?

Do they own guns? Cars? Boats?

Do they send their kids to school?

The fine Government knows everything about them that it wants to know. Putting a real name and address on a petition is a way to prove it's real people who agree with the petition.
