    The cost of Gun Control?

    Hello Cal Gunners,

I am hoping a few or maybe a lot of you may be able to assist. I am writing a persuasive research paper on the value of Gun Control for a summer class (Business Communications).

We have been given 24 hours to use social media sources (such as Calguns,Blogs, etc) and the internet to develop our work plans and rough draft (Due Monday at 5pm est) and a week to compose the final document.

This is were some of you may be able to assist (I hope). I am currently looking for examples of failed attempts to "create a safer society" though ineffective and unenforceable anti-gun laws and their associated costs.

    Such as:
New York finally eliminating their costly and ineffective CoBis system (Combined Ballistic Identification System) – The state ballistic imaging database. An expensive and wasteful program tapped taxpayers $4 million annually for roughly a decade without solving a single crime.

Cost to Tax payers $40 million dollars and not one (1) crime prevented or solved.

Also, information on the financial items related to gun control.

    such as:
    • The annual cost of city's Counties, US Government or Organizations to support and or enforce gun laws.

Local politicians utilization of resources to submit or pass into law new gun legislation

Estimated cost to represent/support new gun legislation

      etc.

Any and all assistance you can provide will be much appreciated. Looks like a all nigher for me and my friend Rockstar with the help of fellow CalGunners.

    Thank you in advance,

I don't know much about it, but Canada's failed long gun registration program could be useful for your paper.
