Does Arsenal AK handguard count towards 922?

    Hi,

Had a question. My Saiga rifle is getting a conversion done and I bought the Arsenal polymer stock 4 piece set. Anyways.......the stock is marked 'U.S.' But the handguard and gas tube cover are not marked. Anyone had any experience with this?? Does it fall under 922 compliance?

    Thanks

It looks like it but I guess Arsenal also makes Bulgarian AK stocks ? Arsenal has a factory in Bulgaria I believe. The guy doing the conversion said each part needs to be marked for 922 compliance. It makes sense. But I really like that handguard. I just want to be legal.

But yeah, id assume the stock set is all US made if stock is marked.

There is NO LEGAL REQUIREMENT for parts to be marked. Since the guy in question needs to be a FFL, he should be able to quickly look up the law he is claiming to exist and show it to you. However, he isn't required to do the work if he doesn't want to.

as far as Arsenal goes, they do not MAKE Bulgarian parts. They may use some but, AFAIK, they do not have a manufacturing plant in Bulgaria. Look on their website and see if they claim the handgaurds are made in the US.

Thank you for your help. We'll see what Arsenal says when I contact them. Appreciate the advice.
