    miwall ammo

anyone notice their quality has decreased?

I bought some 9mm reloads and shot about 500 of them. Power seemed to be weak. they used to be better. and their prices went from 85 to 95.

wonder if I should go for factory instead.

I haven't shot any of their 9mm reloads in quite some time. Don't remember having any malfunctions with it, but IIRC I could "feel" a difference in the recoil occasionally. They also sell the Winchester white box and it's almost the same price as their reloads. So for a few dollars more I figure the new stuff was worth it.

I've used their 9mm before, thought it was particularly dirty stuff. Now I just reload my own....

I purchased some of the Miwall .45 reloads and I wouldn't do it again. They do have great prices on Wolf 12 ga Slugs and AG Mil Surp .308 ammo though.

I have good luck with their .357 and .44 but their auto always seemed a bit under powered.

                Okay for some uses

I've shot a lot of Miwall and it's always seemed underpowered and a little on the dirty side. I asked them once about the power level and they said that of course it was less powerfull than fresh ammo because they downloaded it about 10% in case the re-used cases were weak. Anyway, that's what the one guy there said that one day.
For plinking at ranges where you don't intend to collect your brass it's okay. One problem I have with it is that some batches seem to have poorly seated primers which don't fire when struck. That's a pesky problem since misfires are potentially very harmful and you still have to treat them by holding the firearm downrange and giving it a chance to go off. It has the side 'benefit' of allowing you to see if you're flinching when shooting since when the hammer falls you can see if it's you pulling the gun.
                Happy shooting,
                Joe

I had some bad luck recently with a can of Miwall 10mm reloads.
I had multiple case failures with both semi-autos, (1076) and revolvers (610).
I would not go there again.

Haven't had any problems with it. I've purchased a few boxes of the 40 S&W reloads and they've been just fine. For plinking paper targets at the range, it's ok stuff.

I keep a few boxes of new Remington stuff around for actual use.

I bought some reload from them - both 9 mm FMJ and 45 TMC (1000 can) about 6 months ago - they worked fine and no problem.

3 months ago I bought the same thing - problem started to pop up (on both 9 + 45). I had both ammo jammed in my barrel - found that the casting is slightly bended - FTF.

I had to stick my cleaning rod (that's what I got at the range) to push it out (with force). It was a scray experience while you need to take those "live round" out of the barrel...

I only have 5 bad ones out of 1000 - so I should not complain too much... but I really don't want to go through that expereince again.

I had one 9mm round where the bullet partially crushed the casing. One had a cracked case. these werer Miwall reloads.

Didn't take pictures to show you guys.

But I got bad results with Winchester white box 9mm ammo. The residue problem is severe. Also I got lots of smoke. No good at all.

I bought both 115gr and 124gr reload 9mm ammos from a seller other than Miwall(2k rounds each). They shoot well. The sellers were a mid-age couple. They are also in CA. I forgot their name.

Now I am shooting +p+ from SOG. It rocks!!!
