    *MISSING* Bushnell Holosight

What happened to the Bushnell Holosight??

I have one on my "go to" AR and have been touting them for years. I decided to buy a couple for the shop and can't seem to find 'em. They are great sights that are said to be made by Eotech back in the day.

Does anyone know of a comparable sight for similar money? Better yet, does anyone know where to find the Holosight?

    Thanks!

It was a great sight, back in the day.

In modern times I think the EOTech is the nearest thing -- many of the components are shared between some model EOTechs and the Holosight. However EOTech is both more expensive and more reliable.

I just retired my own Holosight after 12 years of service on my AR. Still works, but it finally stopped making reliable adjustments (in the middle of a match, naturally... that's why we have back-up irons) and is getting relegated to paintball duty. Can't really complain. It had a hard life and performed well.

Don't know where you could find one these days.

L3 bought Eotech and prices jumped immediately.

They may have discontinued the low end stuff?

Just really bummed. Mine is a great sight and I'd love to offer them in our shop. I use Bushnell scopes on a few of my rifle. I really like their stuff.

Anybody have a serviceable one they'd like to part with? I'd be interested if so.

I can't say Bushnell's "warranty" and "service" is very good either. They don't seem to stock or service anything. This includes the Holosight and Bolle products

I have a holosight that turns off when you shoot and a bunch of bolle goggles in need of lenses

I had one and it broke(would never shut down battery). Called Bushnell and they said they are no longer making them and did not have repair parts.

Having three of them and called the factory in the past. Eotech always made them for Bushnell under license. That agreement ended some years ago. They have been closing out stock for a while. If they can't repair yours (most warrenties are long expired) they refer you to Eotech.

Ebay has Bushnell holosights for sale all the time, at prices way under Eotechs.

It was easier for me to buy an Eotech branded product (on sale, even used) that is still serviceable, even after a year of operation.
