As a production company owner, I have to give kudos to Vice Media. This was a really well done piece, good photography, editing and the interviews with the founders were excellent.

The host needed to be smacked for some of his left wing Brady Bunch inspired hyperbole (something about how all of these guns could be used to murder a lot of people? yeesh) but by the end of the shoot, he seemed like he actually "got it". He had a good time, met some good people and walked away with the big idea of what Big Sandy is really all about, freedom, not just machine guns. I loved how they portrayed the guys who own MGs as "professionals, doctors, lawyers" Very true, who else can afford $3k to $200k for an FA toy? But a good point to make to non-shooters that these aren't domestic terrorists, they are really dedicated hobbyists. Nice to see that there was a mini gun out there too, I think those sell for about $150k to $200k and imagine what ammo costs are for that! When they blew up Bob in the dinosaur, that was impressive too.

Great video, I've always like Vice's videos and this is a good one. I like how they didn't focus on the political side of guns, instead they focused on how fun and awesome it is to shoot. And i like how they sent a gun newbie to do the report, and by the end he was having a blast.

Was that video made by the same guys that do the "Vice Guide" series? If you haven't seen the "Vice guide to Liberia" you're truly missing out... The Vice guide to the Pakistan gun markets was also eye opening, not to mention the "Vice guide to Chernobyl" which bordered on lunacy. Those guys have guts.
