selling rifle/shotguns in CA

Pretty new to CA

Do Rifles / Shotguns need to go thru the whole transfer process here in CA in a private sale or is cash and a handshake good enough like in the other states

Go to an FFL and do a PPT. Only things you don't have to do that for is C&R(see the wiki) and intrafamilial transfers(again, see the wiki).

Yea you need to do a PPT with an FFL. On the flipside CA gun laws have done a great job keeping our streets crime free -_-
