I thought it was pretty sweet looking... I'm not here to get into a argument about the marine and his integrity, but IF...IF I were in his shoes I would have kept it as a safe queen. Making it semi-auto would be ideal... and of course I made it from a 80% lower.

Funny how it was common for US troops to send foreign weapons home during WWII as souvenir. . . . . . .
Replying to craigslist for casual encounters is like pokemon with STDs. Gotta catch em all

And it hasn't been common for decades, and it's been illegal to just smuggle in machine guns for decades. I support our armed forces, I do not support criminals who know better. It was his decision to risk pissing everything away and regardless of his service to our country, that doesn't put him above the law.

All you sympathizers.. did you completely skip the part about him being discharged for falsifying travel papers & stealing government property? This was in ADDITION to the weapons charges. Seems like a true criminal to me. And from what I read about the Marines, stealing from the Corp is stealing from your family. Not an honorable Marine.

Legality/Constitutionality of the import process aside, it would have been easy enough to chop up the receiver and have it rebuilt as a legal AK pistol.

                  Too bad.

the guy was an idiot in the first place.

The U.S. Marine Corps discharged Miller in December 2011 after 20 years in the military for approving false travel claims and stealing from the U.S. Government.

Hell, there are legally owned full-auto guns out there? Aren't they worried about those too?

Hey, funny this. I saw one of these in the Kennedy Special Warfare Museum two years ago. Such an interesting weapon. It was also bundeled in with the gold SVD and that Beretta 83, I think.
