It was a bad feature during the 1994-2004 federal ban.

Yup federal ban not CA ban

        Penal Code 12276.1.
        (a) Notwithstanding Section 12276, "assault weapon" shall also mean any of the following:
        (1) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
        (A) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon.
        (B) A thumbhole stock.
        (C) A folding or telescoping stock.
        (D) A grenade launcher or flare launcher.
        (E) A flash suppressor.
        (F) A forward pistol grip.

Threaded Barrels and Bayonet Lugs are not on the list and are legal.

*With the exception of threaded barrels on pistols

Yep, bayonet charges were big in the gang wars of the ghettos and in drug trafficking.

Your lack of bayonet is evil... ;-) Go out and pick one up!

When I first got into guns I thought bayo lugs were cool. I even bought the bayonets for the guns. There is really no need for them.

A lug is good for cheap NC-Star bi-pods that attach there too!

Since I have a 20" barrel, the standard M7 bayonet will fit correctly. The M7 flops, and "tinks" around on a 16" barrel.

Bayo lug is still a prohibited feature up in a few northeast states.
