    Gun Store Report

Went to pick up some last minute weekend ammo at Turner's Reseda, having been pleasantly shocked how smoothly things were running over there now. ...of course having forgot they stop selling ammo before the 4th.

Off to Gun World in Burbank. What a Jewel. Place was packed but I had a salesman on me in under 5 minutes. Then just checking the place out to see what else they had (they've got what looks like every gun and optic there is) two others asked if I'd been helped yet.

Ummmm, okay. Most have had terrible experiences at that place, but glad you had a positive one. Most, including myself, feel their prices are outrageous. Great selection of course, but overpriced. I would prefer Guns Direct If I was forced to purchase ammo in the valley.

So what is this about ammo not being sold before the 4th??

City of LA does not allow ammo sales like a week prior to the 4th of July. Cause it makes the streets safer, or it saves lives, or it keeps people from shooting guns into the air. Cause they didn't stock up the other 350 odfd days of the year.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

The ammo was about 75% more expensive than online prices. There's definitely a price to pay for service and a well-stocked shop.

Yeah, City of L.A. stopped ammo sales during the "Rodney King" riots so that people could not defend themselves while the gang-bangers were ripping off entire stores full of weapons and ammo!
