1st Post new here Hello! Will add Pictures soon

I am considering trading my Vette for a boatload of jewelry and 3 guns.

this is the only reason I am here, I have been in the US army and have owned guns before.

    Beretta 92s Nytex coating?
    Walter PPK .32 stainless
    Colt single action .22revolver

I have not seen them yet.

they supposedly have been extensively reworked my a gunsmith, for enhancments.

    now for my questions.

I want to flip them and not keep them, maybe the Walter, (wish it was blue)

can an "enhanced" gun fetch more money? is the more money commensurate with the work done? or is it not quantifiable?

is the market soft for guns as it is for everything else in this economy?

what happens, ( I am transferring through a gun shop) if i don't? will I go to jail? loose the guns? fines? what if they never find out?

do I need to take a course, I have not been around gun world for a long time?

describe the course and cost and time it will take to do this.

If I try to sell here, how do we comply with the FFL process, since both parties have to be in the same gun shop.

thats it for now, and thanks in advance

Welcome! Yes you will need HSC to complete the gun transfer to your name. You are transfering ownership through a FFL right? Depending on the gunsmiths name , yes enhancements can increase value.

Welcome to Calguns! HSC is $25 which allows you to take the test twice if needed. Having been in the military, you should just need to brush up on CA gun laws as the rest is just common sense for anyone who has had military/weapons training. Most gun stores will administer the test. More info here: http://oag.ca.gov/firearms/hscfaqs

Best bet is to sell them on GunBroker. Make sure you ship them to a FFL to be legal. Most guns are worth more in original condition, it depends on the work done & who did it. Check out some GB.com completed auctions to see what similar guns sell for. Some guns that are not on CA's "safe" gun roster will be worth more if they are popular. Be careful about shipping any high capacity mags (10+ rounds) into CA.
