Cable bill as proof of residency

My current driver license does not have my current address. No problem, I can use a utility bill as specified from the DOJ website. The website doesn't specify whether or not that cable bill had to have been mailed.

Since all of my bills are paperless, can I just print a copy of my online cable bill (which is a pdf of what they would send me in the mail, including address) and be good to go?

Best thing to do is call and ask the lgs where you intend to buy from. We can tell you that you are g2g, then the store says different and its ultimately their choice. A two minute conversation can save you a wasted trip and some frustration.

I printed my bank and credit card statements before and it was fine. One time I had them ready to go and I forgot to take them. The guys at the store where I bought striped lower, let me use their computer and printer to get them a set. So I think you're good to go.

Thanks all, I'll give them a call to be on the safe side.

Good decision. Each store has it own flavor. It's driving me insane.

that might cover CADOJ proof of residency, but you'll still need a .gov-issued document in order to satisfy federal requirements.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Seems that the 3 different shops I purchased from in the last year, all asked for 2 forms of ID. One with a picture (drivers license, state ID, etc.) and another state or county doc (vehicle registration or county utility, etc.).

I have used printed AT&T U Verse bills (since I don't get mine mailed) at several shops without a problem. But, call the FFL/shop to be sure. Also, ask if it will satisfy the current address requirement, I needed to use a voter registration card with my current address to satisfy this requirement as my driver's license had my old address.
