Spill the beans. What did you order to warrant a personal note of gratitidue?

A note of thanks of this magnitude no doubt has put the staff at Brownells on T-bone steak for the foreseeable future. It had to be a big one.

You get one of those with every purchase of Hoppes 9.

Its old school, very rare that people do that.

Sounds like you just made their quarterly numbers just in time

That's what I was thinking. I remember that post from some time ago.

Some of you didn't read the letter carefully enough.

It says "...thank you for the largest order you have ever sent us."

It doesn't say "...you have sent us the largest order we have ever received."

If I spent $5.00 with them today and then $6.00 tomorrow, I could get one of those letters. And then $7.00 the next day and so forth.

Corresponding with customers is great, no doubt, but people, don't misinterpret what is actually going on here.

It is just a form letter (I am assuming) that could be setup to automatically be printed when a customer spends more than x amount of money and when that value exceeds any amount they have spent before. It is not hard or time consuming for them to do.

With that said, it is not common for a company to even bother with a simple thank you. I am sure they do greatly appreciate the business.

Believe it or not, I got a $10 coupon sent to me from the Chino Hills store manager for spending around a grand on my mini14 target model and a scope. I don't remember if I got one when I bought my benelli supersport (more than twice the money spent). I didn't get one when I bought my smith 460 a few months ago. I have bought 5 out of 6 guns at turners of San Bernardino and Chino Hills. I bought one at Bass Pro, and won't likely do that again. Hell, I think it is time they throw me a bone.

Congrats on the big purchase. If you are like me, you will need to tie some lead to your empty wallet to keep it from floating away
