    Bullet Button Question

I may be getting my first "bullet buttoned" AR build soon. I have read Calguns threads going back to 2007 regarding bullet buttons and their usage. I have throughly confused myself, so a simple quetion.

At a range, or "where ever" can one drop the mag with a tool to reload the mag or must one load the mag while it is still in the rifle?...drop the mag with a tool and insert another loaded mag?

    Thank you
    Respectfully
    Kyle

You can drop the, 10 round or less, mag using a tool and then reload the mag, or replace it, with an already loaded 10 round or less mag. Note, the tool used to release the mag may not be attached to the rifle.

Drop the mag with a tool and load another 10 round magazine. No 30 round mags no matter if they are pre-ban or not *unless you have a "featureless rifle" aka no flash suppressor, retractable buttstock and pistol grip.

I'f you're going back to some of the original opinions from the 06 time frame, that is probably the source of confusion.

back in '06 the method was pretty much top load your rifle, since then Cali has entered the stone age where we can use magazines. I am looking forward to the bronze and iron age, possibly even the industrial revolution

Yeah, I started with the early threads and read up to some of the current ones. Too much data, hypotheticals, opinions, and codes and not enough simple "yes" or "no".

              Thanks
