US Forest Ranger confiscating guns on BLM

This
And this.
They broke the law and they shouldn't. However, it's a stupid law, you all know it, and none of you agree with it. Unless the owner/s of said firearms was an a-hole when encountered by the ranger, this is overkill. It's not much different than being pulled over for speeding or even excessive speeding and the cop letting you go with a verbal warning. You broke the law, but you weren't cited, taken in, and your vehicle wasn't impounded.
Wouldn't you agree that he would be doing more good by confiscating 'illegal' firearms from let's say the gun runners that smuggle them to Mexico, or gang members under cartels? But that actually involves investigation and you might get shot at. So confiscating rifles without a bullet button, from recreational shooters is a lot easier, especially when chances of being fired upon are practically zero.Last edited by Elwood_Blues; 06-27-2012, 10:09 AM.Weapons Case Hotwire Foam Cutting

+1 dumb law. I obay it but do not like it at all...No sympathy for those who were arrested/guns confiscated over stupid laws? I mean I get it they broke the laws.. but we should definitively sympathize and better the fight so we dont have to have these kinds of things going on anyway... Good heads up though I shoot up in the forest and plan to go up again great spots.Comment
