Read several scary reviews of Marlin (after relocation), and now that my wish listed Ruger guns are in stock I'm wondering if they maintained Q.C. with double shifts and (I'd think) new hires....while playing 'catch up' for last few months.
Maybe someone could figure out which serial # ranges of guns were made with questionable workmanship by Marlin and if it has been fixed. I really don't want to buy one if is going to be lots of drama and shipping to and fro...I'm not being paid to review guns.
I've heard Ruger quality has been impeccable, but folks were saying same about Toyota until recently (when THEY expanded).
I can't help but think it would "help" manufacturers if "they knew that we knew". It also strikes me that they need more Q.C. if as reported with Marlin guns were being shipped with very poorly fitted stocks and seriously Bubba-ed screws, not to mention wide range of action operations/smoothness. It isn't like playing with brand new guns all day would be some horrible job that "Americans wont do", even if not the highest paying. And who doesn't like telling other people they screwed up. LOL.
