I dont know why online vendors charge so much for shipping...im trying to buy a utg.1" riser. They are 9.99 why does everyone want $12 to ship it....ever heard of flat rate shipping or a padded envelope...just sent a buttstock to someone in a padded envelope for $2.35......wheres the other $10 coming from.....do u really need to rape us on shipping? Y? there is no local store that sells these....there is only one store 30 mins away that even sells Ar accessories, which is what they would consider this, and last time I tried to buy a carry handle from them they said "who is utg or leapers, never heard of them." So I choose to boycott this and not pay more for shipping then the product im trying to buy

It's not just charge for shipping. The correct term is shipping and handling. Someone has to put the part in a box, add protective packing, and an invoice/bill of lading ( for which someone generated ), seal the carton and affix a shipping label.
All those items and people involved cost money.
That is why shipping and handling cost's can seem sky high. -
Just paid nine bucks to ship a 12 dollar magazine.Comment

I think shipping is where companies make a good amount of profit. Companies who ship all of the time usually set up accounts with UPS or FedEx where they receive discounts up to 16% off for shipping items. The less you give a damn the happier you will be.Comment
