Not really paranoid, but with the recent posts about "avoiding any Imperial entanglements" coupled with the fact that legal private ownership of NFA hardware in Cali is so freaking rare (I mean like Sasquatch rare) that it's just a little odd to me.
Mmmmm... maybe I am paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

You can never be too paranoid, specially after the fact that Zombies do exist was discovered. Why would you want to get rid of Class 3 hardware when you own it legally

Stembridge sold off all of their stock like 5-7 years ago.

I recall Dan Shea Owner of Long Mountain Outfitters telling me what he bought from the sale around the time he moved from Harmony Maine to his current location a little north of Lost Wages Nevada.

Maybe make a call to Dan and get a referral for a local SOT.

I thought I could help but my associates that are still in the Class three world aren't in SO Cal.

SoCal is pretty vague. As I said, I know of a shop in San Diego that is a Class III Dealer, there's not "much" (read as: no) market in CA for such things though, so they wouldn't likely be willing to pay anywhere near market value for them. But if your friend just wants to unload some things and have them out of his name, they could likely do that for you. Drop me a PM as to what type of Class III items if San Diego is in your friend's vicinity, and I'll get back to you with their contact info and better info as to whether or not it is something they can help you with.

The market for N.F.A weapons and devices isn't limited to the general area where the weapons are located.

If your friend has papered N.F.A. stuff, there are two very good dealers that will handle everything - Dan Shea of LMO has already been mentioned, the other is Ruben Mendiola. A web search will get you their contact numbers. Both are 100% honest, reliable, and be depended upon.

FTR, selling any papered N.F.A stuff for any reason other than dire need is a big mistake. The only things that have appreciated in price more than N.F.A. weapons are vintage guitars and real estate

There is Bill Guiette and Gary Harper , both in the San Diego and Ramona areas. Both of them are Class III holders. They do a LOT of work for the studio's and are kept very busy with that aspect of the firearm world.

I believe Bill has work stacked up waiting for him almost a year in advance !!!

Indeed, but I was speaking in reference to the specific San Diego class III dealer, and said dealer does not yet do anything online; so anything outside their region would be a hard sale.

Dang, what a fun job LOL. My catering business used to do stuff with the studios which was fun, never worked on any actions sets tho which would have been very cool to see the FA stuff.

I didn't even know there were class III dealers in CA, assumed most left the state long ago.

Form 4 or form 3, really does not matter.

                          I'm interested.

If you are in downtown LA alot it is pretty common to hear some full auto fire coming from the movie sets.
