Gunbroker and other Gun Auction Prices

Do people really pay those crazy prices? Am I the only one who thinks they're in the ether somewhere?

Yes - Usually listed incorrectly.

I scored my AMT 1911 chambered in .30 carbine on the cheap because it was listed as an "ATM 30-06 pistol".....

I've gotten some good deals off of gun broker... All have been from new sellers with no or low feed back with either buy it now options or listed incorrectly.

I bought my xd 40 subcompact on auction arms for 399 with shipping and transfer fee it was 473 I don't think thats high at all.

While there are a lot of overpriced pieces on GunBroker, I have found some really good prices on there as well.

Exactly, if you are willing to spend the time to go and look around and find a good deal, you can get some good prices. and most items are listed by gun stores, so if you call and negotiate, you can get really good deals

You have to be selective when using Gunbroker. If you are, you can find some okay deals ... not great but okay.

I just hate how gunbroker has their registration. I couldn't even sign up because some how they flagged me as a potential scammer. Never used their website and never will. Went to auction arms and bought a gun within 5 minutes of registering. I understand gunbroker doesn't want scammers and all that but flagging someone as a potential scammer especially their first time registering to the website? I asked them if I could just pay the 1.00 to sign up, they never emailed me back so screw'em.

I have made many good deals on GunBroker.
If it's a gun that I want, in a condition I agree with, at a price I am willing to pay, I buy it.
A "Good Deal" is in the eye of the beholder.
Not all of them are guns, but, I have averaged 11 purchases per year for the last 5 years.
And, I have about twice that many on AuctionArms.

Too many subsribe to the adage" there's a sucker born every minute" and try to take advantage of buyers. I say just shop around, a deal is out there.
