For me zombie is a broad term, it may not be like in the movies. A zombie to me, and what I'm preparing for could be anything from a full on movie type, to a starving desperate guy running at my family wanting our food or other supplies. Or dudes messed up from being exposed to radiation. Zombie is what I call anything human-like that isn't normal and forces me to shoot it.
I would have my Ar , .45 sig, and a GI shovel for melee. The melee is tricky, I dont want a bunch of splatter from a bat or sword. But the effectiveness is undeniable.

I would have an ar 15 with a 7 inch barrel with 100 round surefire mags, keltec ksg, and glock 34 with 33 round mags. Not in california of course.

My Saiga AK 7.62x39, Glock 17C, and I'll leave the melee weapon behind to save weight. You're just going to spray infected zombie blood all over any cuts and scrapes you have when using a bladed weapon anyway.

M9, 9mm, pistol, 1 Ea.
M7, Bayonet, affixed to bayonet lug to functioning 20" AR-15 chambered in 5.56mm NATO (as the M7 will rattle, and not hug the compensator correctly on a 16" because it was made for a 20" barrel), of course.

The most plentiful ammo in the US: 22lr, 9mm, and .223cal/5.56mm.

Since I already have a reloading press, and I reload 9mm, and 5.56, I need to build the two other lowers into 9mm, and 22lr. I will then have 2 arms that fire the only three types of ammo we use (after my lady gets her AR).
