    Paypal Oks payments for guns

In an article published in Guns & Ammo magazine, Paypal's director of corporate communications stated that until January of 2007 the company did not permit it's services to be used for gun sales. Since that time, however, the company has changed its policy to allow pre-approved dealers to use Paypal.

This should mean that PP can be used for gun related purchases... if they deny or suspend your account wouldn't it be discriminatory?

Fuc* them. Pay Pal along with Ebay has taken a great big steaming poop on firearm owners. I and hopefully others took our money elsewhere. Now they realize how much of the market they have lost out on and want to get a piece of it back, fuc* them!!!!
sigpicIf you loan someone twenty dollars and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Exactly; because when Ebay and Paypal turned it's back on gun sales and many other gun parts, many dealers and gun owners turned their back on Ebay and Paypal, which also meant turning their back on Ebay and Paypal on vetting sales for a whole lot of other stuff, gun related and non-gun related.

Gun parts and magazines, hunting equipment, relaoding equipment, shooting supplies, clothing, fishing gear, X-games gear, Airsoft, classic car parts, motorcycle parts, Tiffany lamps, paintings by Marc Chagall, all kinds of collectibles, lots and lots of other stuff because people that are into shooting sports are often extroverts that are also into many many different interests, from building hot rods, motorcycles, boating, traveling, to golf - guns are in a sense a luxury for many and I have found that those that seek out those luxurires have their life dipped in other areas of luxury as well. They may also be collectors of high-end goods like jewelry, watches, fine arts, and antiques.

And luxury goods, collectibles, and luxury interests are usually expensive goods and interests, the kind of thing (and luxury spending) that drives Ebay and Paypal profits.

But I have to ask: "Pre-approved dealers?"

        .

That caught my eye, too. You can use your PP account to buy gun stuff, but only from pre-approved dealers? Betcha those dealers have to pay additional fees.

Not worth it. PayPal and Ebay aren't getting another cent out of me.

It isn't even an issue of it "being worth" it or not. I have not forgiven them and I refuse to forget what they did to us.

Paypal and egay will never get another penny from me. They made their bed and can lie in it. Yes paypal makes it easy to sell and buy stuff online but I will put up with the hassles of money orders and such due to their stupid attitude towards buying and selling perfectly legal items.
A big Fu#@ You to them.

OK ONE LAST TIME... READ CAREFULLY.

The "cheap" no fees paypal account does not charge any fees. get one and use it often, paypal gets ZERO DOLLARS PER TRANSACTION.... and Leave no money in your account for them to get interest.

It's like shooting your buddies guns, no cleaning and no cost for ammo....

The free account limits you to how much money you can receive. Sell one big item and you are at the limit. Then they start charging you. Buy a gun related item and it may not be covered if you have problems with the seller.
Too many restrictions on using their service and they are anti gun anyway so screw em.

Same thing that I was thinking. That's basically what I did.

i started to notice that some sellers on gunbroker.com are passing on a $10 fee for even listing/selling fees. makes me really wonder how much people save doing that vs. just supporting local people who keep the efforts alive.

anything w/in $50 or maybe $100, i usually go locally.
