About 10 years in club fed....

That's .mil Sapi plates. Big giveaway is the U.S. marking on the back and the outline of a sticker with serial number where it was obviously peeled off.
Yes these are out there but this is gov property so I wouldn't dare try selling it. Maybe put it in an emergency bail out bag or something.
Just a side note, if u decide to keep it, they ain't stand alone. Need to be used in conjunction with soft armor..

Like I said, its 99% likely its stolen or lost govt property so I wouldn't even advertise you have possession of them unless they were issued to you. Do NOT offer them for sale or anything like that; a lot of CID/NCIS agents browse the for sale ads on a lot of gun forums and look for stolen government property like night vision, IR lasers, and SAPI plates. You usually don't get in trouble but they will take it from you, even if you had paid a large amount of money to someone who claimed they were not stolen and legitimately acquired.
At least you didn't spend any money on it. Like I said, I'd put it in your emergency bailout bag/plate carrier for a rainy day or something. Not much else you can do with it.

if not i would turn them in to local LEO why have something illegal in your possession ?

its marked U.S. property and most likely illegal ....

note your is missing S.N. and thats fishy as all get out .....

pic of one with S.N. from the web ....

My 1911 says United States Property, it doesn't mean it actually is.

I will not pass judgement, unless I am on your jury.
