Ahh! This poll is tough. I love C&R's and I love the modern rifles too. I guess i'll go modern since there are so many cool looking rifles out there.

Well, obviously, but if you had to pick just one...

I picked 'other' because you didn't include a 'both' option.

I don't know how I'd pick just one. Thankfully, that's not a limit in our current society. But, there are choices that are both so: 1911 and AR or AK -- all available new or C&R (yeah, the market for C&R AKs is NFA, limited and expensive -- but a guy can dream, right?)

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

I have to go C&R. I love shooting my friends AR, but when I watch movies, or youtube videos (hickock45) I always find myself lusting after the winchesters! I own a Garand and wouldn't trade it for a dern thing (except a nicer, WWII Garand)! I'm a sucker for history, and wood.

Definitely both! But if I had to pick one, it would be C&R.

I vote other. Why? Because there was no option for both, and I think the question is too general. What type of firearm? What will it be used for? Do you intend to stock ammo for it? Whats your budget? The list goes on... It's situational and depends entirely on the details.

It is kind of a general question. I voted C&R, because blued steel and fine wood remind me of better times.

I certainly don't have anything against modern firearms, just a personal preference. Today's cars are comfortable, fuel efficient and require little maintenance, but I do like 50's-60's vehicles made of metal with lots of chrome.
