    S&W shield?

hello guys. i recently moved from florida to california about 3 weeks ago and before coming to california i bought a smith and wesson shield .40 as soon as they were released.when i arrived here in cali i went to a gun shop and seen that the shields were for "law enforcement only." i was going to register all of my handguns next week but i dont know if i should register the shield because i dont even know if they are legal in california or not? what do i do now?

You bought it legally in another state and then moved. No problem in that at all. It's perfectly legal to own off roster handguns as long as you obtained them in a lawful manner. You should register your weapons without worrying about the Shield.
