Bud's says they can't ship a magazine loader to CA because of new legislation that states "all accessories" must be shipped to an FFL.

So does that really exist or is this just fear of the CA DOJ?

per ab1263, they they can send you items. But they are required to get proof of I.D. And signature is rquired upon delivery.
I have encounted some vendors/persons will send things, some wont.

My brother tried to get an arrow fletching tool shipped from Texas and the company refused to ship to California for the same reason. He had it shipped to me, and I'll bring it in my carryon bag when I fly to California next month.

Some will and others will not. Midwayusa will ship but only after you upload your id.

BCM wouldn't even ship me a hat. A HAT!! I sent it to my brother in AZ and he brought it out here on one of his runs to SoCal.
I wanted some Glock mag floor plates from Tango Down. If the shipping address or even the billing address was in CA it was a no-go.

I think that any additional cost on their part because of California leads them to say no.
I do NOT believe they suffer by shining CA on.

That's not what the law dictates but many retailers don't care and just find it easier to do a blanket restriction. Budsgunshop has never been CA friendly so it's not surprising they refuse to look into the actual law here. Currently, barrels are the only non-firearm non-ammunition item that must be shipped to an FFL. If budsgunshop doesn't want your money, so be it. I would recommend boycotting companies that are hostile to American values such as the 2nd amendment.

It's sad and ironic that one can now pretty easily and legally buy actual bud here in California but cannot get a magazine shipped from Bud's to California.

Might have been due to not conforming to Prop 65 because as we all know, eating a hat or fletching could be hazardous to our health. CA has these restrictions for our own good because we are too stupid to know better.
