San Ramon, CA self defense shooting in store robbery

Not much info yet but it's coming up on KTVU ch2 as a non police shooting at a jewelery store in San Ramon, CA

Less than 6 mos ago in Alamo, just up the road from San Ramon, a Jeweler was shot & injured by a Robber, but the Jeweler shot & killed the BG. Hope this self defense shooting is a clean one.

If it's the event I remember, they both survived. There was a lengthy standoff where the BG was threatening to kill himself, but he finally surrendered.

I drove past the scene that night and wondered why there appeared to be every LE vehicle in the greater Bay Area parked in that little shopping center. I listened to the tail end of it on the scanner.

New info, 4 men attempted to rob the store. The owner shot one, three are on the run.

News anchor asking questions about the owner possibly following the robbers outside to shoot them. Trying to spin it as reckless?

Story says

Police said someone who works at the store shot one of the men, who then ran outside and collapsed in the street.

The shot robber ran outside.

Don't know what the anchor may be asking - watching hockey.

I grew up in San Ramon. Glad the owner was armed.

When I was a teenager, I was in a grocery store in San Ramon while the bank inside the store got robbed. 3 black dudes wearing medical scrubs walked in, jumped over the counter, and quietly robbed the place. It happened in less than a minute.
