I haven't been too many weekend mornings, since I prefer late weekday evening. The few times I've been have filled up pretty fast and I've been there right when they open.

you are allowed to shoot oll configured properly, no transfers/purchase of oll unfortunately, the only ammo not allowed is steel core and high velocity ammo (limit is 3400 fps). so you 223, 762 etc are all ok.

They're cool with OLLs as long as they're in a legal config.

Not sure about steel cased ammo but I know steel jackets/cores are not allowed. I regularly see steel brass on the floor, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's ok

edit: bonjing beat me too it so I guess steel cased is ok then...

forgot to add,

if the ammo sticks to the magnet, be prepared to lose 1 round, more rounds if you have different batches, they will cut the the bullet to see if the core has steel or not. usually it's just a bimetal casing.

This is what chaps my hide about Jackson Arms. They obviously know what's legal, since they will allow me to shoot it there and not call the cops. They won't do the legally mandated PPT on a legal rifle, but they'll gladly take my money to let me shoot it there.

You sell long guns, you have to do the PPT on a legal long gun. End of story.

Shooting at jackson is like standing in a small walk-in freezer with 6-8 other people firing large caliber weapons and brass hitting you no matter where you are standing. That and their range fees are ridiculous

I would agree that Jackson Arms does have some good people working there. However, their prices are pretty high when compared to other ranges in the area.
