The CHFC Foundation is hoding their annual Youth Expo on June 13. It is on the grounds of the Compton Hunting and Fishing Club, established in 1946. A flyer is attached below. CA Fish and Wildlife will be there, the US Forest Service, the Reptile Zoo, an archery range, BB gun range and lots more. There is a QR code on the flyer to register and a waiver for the child's participation. The Club has a couple acres of shaded grass, a large Clubhouse and Kitchen and more. I have also attached a photo or two of our club grounds. We have never had a problem in 80 years, being at the end of private dead end road. Hundreds of kids and parents attend each year. You can also go to http://www.chfcfoundation.org to download the waiver and register. (Registartion is also for headcount as hot dogs and chips are provided for families and we want to have enough.)

There will be face painting and events for all ages above toddler, though families bring babies in strollers, too.
Yesterday, we hosted 48 kids (or maybe a couple more) at Jess Ranch Lakes for a day of fishing. Lunch, tackle, bait and instruction and assistance were provided. Lots of good-sized trout were taken.Last edited by Calif Hunter; 05-10-2026, 3:56 PM.
