    Stolen gun in Lodi

    Anybody hear about a gun collector having his safe stolen in Lodi. I heard about it on KMJ 580 This morning. 2 ton safe w/thousand in guns.

      Wow... That really sucks. I wonder how they got the safe out and if the safe was bolted down.

          holy crap... what did they use to pull and tow that thing away? 2 ton safe can hold a lot of firearms... sux!!

              He kept about 50 guns and as much as 2,000 rounds of ammunition in a double-walled, fireproof safe that, when empty, weighed 1,300 pounds. He moved it into a climate-controlled metal and concrete storage unit at U-Haul in Lodi. And he even got a second-floor storage unit for added security.

                          Saw it on the news the other day. He claimed to have 50K in loses and the stuff he was talking about didn't seem special or rare. The news showed a shot of him talking about some swords that were stolen and the pics were of those cheap $100 fantasy swords. The story didn't really seem to fit right with me. Why would you spend so much on guns/collectables and keep them at a storage facility that you cannot look after all the time. I understand people not living in a house and having the room but why spend so much just to store it like that?
