I hope you're not just realizing this fact, now. Death by 1000 cuts has been the play-book for a LONG time.

Kalifornia wants to make it such a pain in the azz, burdensome, convoluted and confusing not just for gun owners in the state, but for the manufacturers/suppliers too in hopes they just stop dealing with and cut-off Kalifornia all together.

Because that imbecile NEVER, EVER cared about the safety of you and others, ONLY on incrementally denying citizens firearms. And yes, confiscation is the end goal, already becoming an issue on the East Coast; "grandfather" clauses of assault weapon bans are now considered the next cut out of a thousand, Democrats now arguing these clauses need to go away.
