I guess you missed the unspoken rule for shooting a rifle, tuck the butt of it in your shoulder, never, never in your face, lol.I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.Comment

Anyone want to guess a total value?
My guess is somewhere near 20,000. Thats just off the top of my head. Almost, if not every rifle in the pic cost near, or over 2 grand. Throw in a dozen or so 800 to 1000 dollar handguns...
Even ten either way is not bad. For a guy that does well and makes good money, that is less than a new sports car, or a boat (or maybe a wife), and it stretched out over four years. Think about all the guys that ride big expensive harleys, what do those cost with maintainance and upkeep?
I think my point is, you can be relatively poor like me, and still have a closet full of guns (I reload too), or you can be well off and have a pile of really nice guns, but both of us are getting a lot for not that much, compared to everything that a guy could spend money on.Last edited by SanPedroShooter; 05-28-2012, 6:57 AM.Comment

You need to get some C&R military long guns and some wood stocked sporting long arms too. But, not bad for 4 years after first becoming a gun owner. I only had two rifles at that point. But, I was still a minor who was too young to drive.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

I've got to the point where I dont really look for new guns to buy. I am focused on actually shooting the ones I have.
At a certain point what is two dozen guns if you havent mastered at least one rifle, pistol and shotgun?
I suppose different people buy guns for different reasons. If you collect S&W revolvers, it doesnt matter if you have a dozen, you might not shoot them anyway.
I guess I buy guns out of a percieved 'need'. I have some C&Rs and stuff, but an AR/AK depending on my mood a Glock 19 and a small pocket .380 are the ones that get used and carried everyday.
I need a combat shotgun, its on the list.... with about a dozen other guns I can think of a use for....Comment
