Bought a Kimber Micro-9 Liberty today

It was a gorgeous day out and doing some Sunday errands earlier when I thought what a beautiful day to buy a new pistol, let's go see what the LGS has. I had been reading about and reviewing the Kimber Micro-9 for sometime and they had one on sale. It was the last one they had in stock. Bought it and brought it home.

What a cool little pistol and looks fantastic. It's small but feels great and has all the quality, fit and finish of Kimber you'd expect.
Some have said the trigger pull on these is too heavy. However, I don't find that to be the case, at least with mine. Trigger pull is great and has a good crisp break to it.

I do wish it came with more than one mag. C'mon Kimber, throw us a bone here...lol...but what can ya do? I always buy extra mags anyway for everything, so it's not that big of a deal.

Can't wait to try it out. With 7+1 and Federal HST's, it will be a nice addition to my back-up EDC line-up.

Kinda reminds me of the interarms Star PD in 45acp, that I own.
It was 6 +1, and aluminum framed - with Remington 185 + P ammo, carried in a Milt Sparks SS.

    Looks like a good 1 ~ enjoy πŸ™‚

Nice. Yeah, I can totally see that. It also reminds me in a way of the Detonics Combat Master in .45acp I used to have many years ago.

But I'm really diggin' a lot of these micro carry pistols.

Just got a Houge wrap-around grip and their pinky mag extender and installed them. I think it looks great.
This pistol was comfortable out of the box, but now it's like butter in your hands. Gonna try to hit the range this weekend after a gunshow.

              current production maybe not

Got rid of the beautiful kimber micro .380. Beautiful but lousy

Will do! Hoping I have time this weekend to swing by the local range to run a 100rnds or so.

The Micro-9 was released in 2016 and the first ones were made in Yonkers, NY. The new production come out of Troy, AL. Of the reviews I've read about the heavy trigger pulls were all the older production. People also reported the mags would sometimes drop on its own while shooting.

As I mentioned, mine has a great trigger and the mag locks in with a solid click and doesn't move at all. So yeah, perhaps there have been improvements on the current model.

I'll take it to the range and giver' a go.

Congrats nice little 9, I use to own this one. Ended up selling it as I exclusively carry Glocks, but it was a good shooter, very reliable.

Carried it with these grips as the fancy ones were too slick.

The Texas edition is nice! Love the 1836 refernece.

I carry Glock too, specifically the G43X. Always good to have a back up EDC as well and this one should fit the bill.

True, these are my usual carry Glocks but sometimes I’ll go bigger with a 19 or 23. The Kimber kinda got squeezed out, but on hind sight I wish I would have kept it. It was a sweet little piece, seeing your fine representation makes me miss it.

Somewhere in my extra mag collection I think I still have three or four of the kimber mags. Don’t think I gave them all when I sold it.
