I hear that. It should be bring in a DD-214 to prove any military service.

Those of us who separated before retirement are still veterans. Maybe it's not so fitting on Memorial Day because I always thought of that one as honoring those who died for our country, but for Veterans day, some people only seem to apply it to those who are currently serving or retired from the service.
