Old school Assault Systems rifle cases

    Anyone remember these case?

I had some during the late 80's and 90's. They were great.
I was looking for some more cases recently and remembered their name. Apparently a company called Elite Survival bought Assault Systems back in 2022 and have been making the same cases ever since.
They even kept their same cool old logo. I picked one up and they're just as great in quality and thick padding as I remember. 100% made in the U.S.A., too. Definitely will buy more of them for my other Pre-Ban stuff to keep with the period style.

And for funzies, one of my early 90's Colt H-BAR A2 to go in it (yes with A1 forearms).

That AR brings back memories of my brother buying a new SP1 right out of high school in 1972… Grant Boys, $169.00. Put a lot of rounds thru it.. sadly their both gone. Yea, I love those cases as well.

Sorry for your loss.. but man $169! Yeah those were the days for sure.

My Dad had an SP1 made in the 80's. Unfortunately, he sold it right before the 89' Kalifornia ban. I loved that rifle. I remember going to the Great Western Pamona show with him (before California turned in to Kalifornia) where he bought it for around $400 C&C.

I'm on the hunt for one now. I see them sporatically at shows here but trying to find a nice one for under $2000. They're few and far between.

I've got an AR case and a few other pieces as well. Back in the day they were good quality items at a reasonable price. Also have have a couple of Galati cases.

I've still got and use one of those cases, also in black and purchased some time in the 80's. It's been used with various rifles in a variety of designs. It's been dropped in the dirt, stepped on by other shooters, piddled on by rats, bounced in the bed of pickups, and various other abuses; but, it's still going strong and not a loose stitch anywhere.

Forty years for a soft case and it's still doing its thing? Who'd have thought it from an era where 'built-in obsolescence' was a term making the rounds at that time.

I use one from the early 1980’s (black) to tote some of our European battle rifles in. It’s getting pretty tired though; foam has flattened, a lot of the Velcro on the magazine pouches is weak. I think(?) I bought it at either B&B or Sherwood in the SFV back then.
That was of course long before those anus licks David Roberti (D) and George Duekmejian (R) ruined it.
