        Hmmm

Lolol..............It's easier to confiscate toy guns here than try and find all the real ones they sent to Mexico?

Your tax dollars at work. This should have been a safe bust - how bad could it be to be shot with a marshmallow?

Mr. "ATF Special Agent Kelvin Crenshaw" has been credited with numerous false statements in the past (this only being one of them). It really makes me wonder if the ATF just doesn't keep him around for the sake of comedy and to get the press' panties in a wad

I'm still waiting for that guy to do the "minimal work" to convert one of those airsoft guns into a "machine gun" that shoots actual 5.56 rounds.

I'm still willing to bring the sandbags, camera and first aid kit.

Obviously only the stripped action would be used. It's not that hard to machine a piece of plastic (the air soft receiver) a bit to turn it into a working M16 receiver. How hard is that to understand? In fact, I've seen clasic airsoft M16s with real M16 triggers. A couple holes drillled and a new FCG was all it needed to be a functioning MG.

Of I could legally manufacture a FA firearm, I'd ask you to send me a couple different airsoft models and, I'd do it.

To be fair you could convert a portable radio to full auto with minimal tools:

You could manufacture a an automatic weapon that shoots actual bullets out of an airsoft gun? Using the same chamber/barrel??? Whaaaat? How in the world could you make one that wouldn't blow up?

I am guessing he modifies the lower and installs a real upper. The fact is they regulate the wrong part of the weapon. never should the lower have been regulated. I am looking for the video on the conversion it takes drilling one hole in the lower of the metal airsof guns from taiwan and it can be attached to a real upper making a rifle. The automatic mode would not hold hup in my opinion. The cost to convert is over 1100.00 cheaper to buy a real M-4 but no background check.

I will keep looking for the video.

The receiver is the legal firearm. Changing every other part still makes it the exact same firearm from a legal standpoint.

Do they make the airsoft actions strong enough to be used in an automatic weapon?

To me that dosn't qualify as minimal work, that is removing or cutting off almost every single piece of the toy and replacing them with parts from a real gun, you might as well have just bought a block of aluminum or plastic.

Under that definition a blender or cordless drill could be said to be converted into a machine gun with minimal work.
