Question on ordering ammo from an out of State retailer into the PRK?

I've not kept up with the crazy that is the law there, but a buddy of mine in the Northern part of the State is wanting to order some not common ammo.

Can I get the process outlined for him here? And no he doesn't have C&R and has no plans to get one.

I have the same inquiry. I ordered some Ammo last August when the ban on shipped ammo was lifted. I've been out of the country since then and just returned.

I was going to order Ammo online again today, tried to order from Freedom Munitions and got a message they are no longer shipping to Cali.

What has happened? Have the rules changed again? (Sorry to all, searching for older threads has mixed results)

There was an ammo "freedom event" due to a court ruling a while ago. The decision was stayed. All is back to the way it was, that is shipping to an FFL only. Some dealers have decided not to deal with CA. Talk to your FFL and find out what their charge is for accepting ammo, then find a seller who will ship here.

There are several (at least that I know of) that will gladly ship ammunition direct to your door without any interference from those silk suited cock-sniffs in Sacramento, no FFL needed, no hassle, no BS.
You simply have to do some searching to find them.

He has to find a local FFL that will allow the ammo to be shipped to them, for whatever fee they want. Then he orders and pays for it, the out of state dealer sends it to the ffl. You buddy goes into the FFL, the run the background check and you buddy walks out with his ammo.
If your buddy does not a a gun registered to his current address, his current address on his drivers licence is old, and his licence is "federal limits apply" He is going to have to pay alot more money, jump through more hoops and wait alot longer.
