Positive Shoutout To 3 Firearm Companies

Recently I reached out to 3 different firearm companies for either warranty repair or customer services support. Each company helped me out with my request and I want to acknowledge them, so if you find yourself looking for some new gear, shop with these 3 companies with confidence that they back their product and are willing to take care of their customers when needed.

1.) Surefire - I'm sure this doesn't come as a surprise but Surefire took care of a warranty issue I had with some rechargeable batteries. They took care of the issue quickly with little effort on my part.

2.) Daniel Defense - I had an issue with a QD sling attachment point for my Mk18 build. I contacted DD and they had a replacement sent out the following day.

3.) Hogue Grips - I recently purchased a Hogue grip extension spacer for my P365XL 15rd magazine. These come with a set screw so that the retaining plate the spacer can connect together. When putting it together I lost the screw and could not find it. I contacted Hogue to ask if i could purchase a new one since it was my fault. They told me not to worry, asked for my address and sent another set out free of charge. I was very grateful.

I'm sharing this because these companies took the time to take care of me and provide exceptional customer services. Buy with confidence when purchasing from them.

Good to hear that these three companies took care of your requests in a timely and no haggle fashion. From a monetary standpoint, not much was at stake here, so I wonder if other customer service warranty/repair requests involving higher dollar amounts would be treated in the same manner by these or other companies.
Thanks for posting these three examples as any and all warranty/repair requests of any value that meet or exceed the customer's expectations should be recognized here, perhaps a "sticky" list should be created for such positive experiences?

I’ve had good experiences with all of the above as well.
Another one of the major’s that has been good is Ruger; despite the limitations of consumer-grade mass produced firearms, they have come through whenever asked. They also do listen to customer feedback, as I have been contacted in the past regarding questions. On several occasions when I’ve met company reps while involved in some unique private training events, they seemed very interested. Same for the reps from Steyr Autsria.

I had a good experience with Hornady a few years ago. I can't remember exactly but I think that it had to do with the case feeder and a bushing that wasn't originally included. I called them up and asked how do I order such and such bushing. They said it will be in the mail tomorrow, no charge.

          Let’s list the bad:
Colt was not helpful with regard to a series 80 officers 1911. Their website stated they serviced them. After sending in a 100% stock 1911 officers with a severe safety problem, they refused to look at it stating they no longer service the older 1911’s and have no parts.

With no other solution available, once getting it back from fedex, it took me 30 minutes to determine the problem, repair with a dremel including polishing out a couple of marks
          in the stainless steel.

What happened to Colt? Won’t bother looking at their **** any more, nor recommending their products to my sons. Let them go bankrupt and out of business.
The only thing that is worse than an idiot, is someone who argues with one.

Sig sauer customer service is good had a p2022 that was a jam -o -matic out of the box they emailed me a pre paid shipping label had the pistol back the following week

            The bad one:

I'll add Leupold to the list. A few years ago I bought a huge objective Leupold scope and wanted to mount it on a rifle. Their fitment chart told me to buy a certain ring and it turned out the objective was too big, wouldn't fit with those rings. So they comped me two or three different sets of rings trying to get the scope mounted. That kind of customer service is very rare, it was greatly appreciated.

I'll add Primary Arms to the awesome list.
Ordered a few things from them recently and they have been nothing but stellar.

I can place an order in the afternoon, I get an email a couple hours later that its been shipped with a tracking number and it arrives 2 days later. Granted they're in Houston which is only about 4 hours from me.

Their customer service and products is top notch.

Springfield fixed a minor issue on my 1911 mil spec and had their custom dept go through the entire thing, no charge, free shipping both ways.

Another vote for Ruger. They fixed my Single Six completely free of charge in ten days door-to-door.

Got an accurate and timely response from Dawson when I was looking for fiber optic sights for my G17. Once I ordered, they shipped straightaway and the price was reasonable.

When I was still working, I had a Surefire flashlight that was used under severe conditions. They repaired it no questions asked 3 times. The last time they replaced every part. Basically sent me a new light that was discontinued. Used it today.

And another vote for Ruger. Years ago I had issues with my LCP. Chris in customer service took care of me. My gun was shipped to them, repaired and back to me in less than 14 days.
