Accurate Arms USA, Livermore off Airway Blvd. Appointment only, they have a webpage.

The only thing that is worse than an idiot, is someone who argues with one.

K Gennecco Gun Works in Stockton. I've seen guys drive to him all the way from SF. One of the few remaining actual gunsmiths who isn't just a parts changer.

You didn't really give a preferred location.

Ken Kraushaar at Petaluma Gun and Reloading is my go-to.

+1 on Gennecco, seems like he's been working on firearms forever. But be advised that the wait time is long.

I have an HK4 reference gun in my collection.
Your trigger reset problem should be easy to figure out when comparing your gun to my working reference gun,
Make sure your recoil buffer has not broken into pieces and a piece of it worked it's way into the trigger, blocking forward reset travel.
Those buffers are wear parts on the HK4 and need to be replaced when they wear out.
If ti's not a buffer related problem (most HK4 problems are buffer related), then look at the disconnector spring:

The disconnector spring is part number 23 on this diagram:

Yeah the wait times are long and he does close up shop at the end of the year for like 3-4 weeks. And yeah, according to him, he's been working on guns for 60 years and I believe him. He always seems to know the most obscure bit of knowledge about the most random guns from way back. He can also make custom parts/guns for you as well.
