There was a Canadian man (in Toronto, I believe) who was arrested because someone in a neighboring office building saw him assembling what appeared to be a handgun, through the office window. It turned out to be a lego project.
This story has disappeared from the internet. The only mention I found was a single post in Pennsylvania gun forum. Both Bing and DuckDuckGo found this post. Google hid it.

A Canadian office worker was arrested by a SWAT Team storming his workplace, after a neighbor peering through the window saw him assembling what appeared from afar to be an actual handgun. Turns out that it was a Lego Replica Toy Gun that the man had bought on the internet.​Comment
